Competitors must turn in meat between 9:40 am – 10:00 am
There will be a blind judging, you will receive a serving tray.
*Note: This is a Bar-B-Que meat competition not a sauce competition. When you turn in your meat, if you would like to provide a homemade sauce on the side we welcome that.
There will be a people’s choice award. The general public will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite team. Each team will have a fire boot to collect, the voting tickets. Votes will be tallied by Fire – Rescue Staff.
All meat will be provided to the competitors Raw
Head Cook meeting will be at 8:05 pm on June 15th
Cooks are to prepare and cook barbecue in a sanitary manner as possible. Cooking conditions are subject to inspection by Fire – Rescue Staff, DHEC & Local Fire Marshal. Conditions found to be unsanitary will be grounds for disqualification from this cook-off.
All teams must have at least ONE fire extinguisher on site.
Contestant’s space will be available for each team. There is no electricity available at these spots. All cooking facilities, rigs, props or show articles must fit within your team’s contest space.
